Hemorrhoids, **** fissure questions?

Today, I went to the doctor because for the past 8 or 9 days I have seen a significant amount of blood in the toilet after pooping.
Enough to make the toilet water generally all red, today I finally got the courage to check out what was incorrect after worrying CONSTANTLY about it being something serious.

Enough to make the toilet water generally all red, today I finally got the courage to check out what was incorrect after worrying CONSTANTLY about it being something serious.
He checks it out, and tells me that I have hemorrhoids and a tear or ***** that is contributing to the bleeding. The bleeding doesn’t appear to be in the stool, it’s all in the toilet.
Would this amount of blood be reasonable for hemorrhoids or an **** fissure?
It is quite a large amount, and would they both last 8 days or more?

Also, how can I help get rid of the hemorrhoids, all he has given me is some cream with an applicator that is going to be a nightmare to use as I’m a very overweight guy..
