Is bowel problems in a 12-year-old normal?
Byangel_hb09 asked:
My cousin, who is turning 13 next week, has been having problems with her bowels. She came to me and told me that for the last few weeks, she has soiled herself many times. She did have a hemorrhoid about a month and a half ago, which may be causing this. But is it really very normal for a 13 year old to be doing that, even if she was fine the weeks after her hemorrhoid healed?

It might be stress, or anxiety. Take her to the doctor.
bowel problem is normal for any age. it’s just more common in older people. i would suggest to her either calling or seeing a doctor. maybe you or her could do some research on it.
She need to see a doctor for a correct diagnoses. It could be her diet or something such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome or something much more serious. Talk to her mom about it.
IBS irritable bowel syndrome
anyone, any age can suffer
poor thing, give her our love x
No, it’s not normal!!!!!
She should see a doctor. It could be the start of Celiac, Crohn’s, or Ulcerativecolitis. You can start to get flares around this age. She should see a doc just to be safe. B/c if it is one of those they can be eased with a change in diet before they do damage
