what are the benefits of drinking chamomile tea?

i have been hunting for this info on internet but i don’t get same info everywhere. some websites said it helps heal hemorrhoids, another said it helps reduce gas and intestinal bloating, while some said it helps to relax and fights insomnia. i also read on net that it strengthens immune system and fights cold infections.

certain websites also say it helps reduce muscular pains. so i am not sure what the exact benefits are since there is so much inconsistent info on various websites.

It may be all in my head, but it seems to be soothing and very relaxing to me. Buy one that has no additives or artificial colors. It is very mild and can be used in the evening. As for any medicinal properties I haven’t noticed it being a miracle cure.
I have always heard that it just has an overall calming effect on the body which in turn can help you sleep. Better sleep helps strengthen your immune system and also helps with some gastro-intestinal problems so I can see why there are so many confusing claims. I have always chosen this tea to relax and calm my mind.
